The publication reveals untold stories of a family who escaped Iraq and settled in New Zealand before moving to Australia. Using reallife artefacts, as well as my love for type, colour, composition and textile to emphasise the visual narrative and the raw emotions being expressed. A publication that is rich in culture, sacrifice and
something that refugee families and individuals can relate to. ‘Our heroes’ shines a positive light on Assyrian refugees and applauds them on all of their achievements and benefits to our country.
